In the career of a student obtaining a professional degree, a visit to an industry has its own value. The purpose of the industrial visit is to expose students to the inner workings of businesses. DVSIM-PGDM organised an Industrial Visit to Dewan Tyres.
Students learnt about how a tyre is procured, processed and given a final shape. The students had an ace time interacting with the senior managers and the shop floor workers about their roles in the factory. They also visited a plant where tubes are manufactured and got to know about the consumption and further projections for the tyre industry.
It was a learning experience with some interesting facts about tyres for the PGDM students. The PGDM course at Dewan Institute enables you to become an industry-ready leader.
Congratulations to our DVSGI PGDM Students who did the commendable job in organising the MMA- AIMA Debate in collaboration with Dayal Fertilizers. The students ensured flawless stage management, facility management, back-end support, and corporate guest registration. They extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, the Jury and other dignitaries, which was greatly appreciated by all. Dewan VS Group of Institutions- PGDM students expertly managed the 34th Annual MMA Convention affiliated to AIMA on 26th March 2022 by handling end-to-end corporate cum student registrations, stage management, facilities management, and other critical responsibilities. It was a great opportunity for the students to gain real-world managerial experience while working on such a prominent event and great moment to share the stage with the Chief Guest Justice B Amit Sthalekar who shared his insights on the Wellness Mindset. he stressed the importance of modest activities like gardening, cooking, and creating hobbies in self-care. Dr. S K Tyagi, a senior gastroenterologist, talked about how expressing affection to your family, such as hugging your parents, can help you stay connected despite modern-day disorders like anxiety and depression. Dr Balgopal Keeran, Success Coach & Hypnotherapist, discussed successful people's routines and vision board techniques. Mr Saurabh Arora joined from London and shared about how creativity helps and can keep our minds agile. Mr. Aseem Garg, CEO of DCDC, shared techniques for bridging the gap between professional achievement and personal fulfilment. The sessions were engaging and interactive where PGDM students learnt the managerial skills of planning, coordination, delegation, art of prioritisation and decision making from the corporate leaders.
DVSGI PGDM organised and celebrated AAGAMA - The Spark, Orientation and Post Diwali event, 2021 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Col. (Dr.) Naresh Goyal - ED, DVSGI and Ms Shruti Arora - President CEE. Dr Shuchi Sharma welcomed the students to the campus. Col. (Dr) Naresh Goyal shared the skillsets required for management students in the 21st century. Ms Shruti Arora shared about E Cell and it's overview with the students so that they are competent to earn new business roles in the corporate world. Mr Vivek Kwatra took a motivational session and inspired students to excel in interpersonal skills through team building activities. Dr Shuchi Sharma - PGDM proposed Vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, participants, students and faculty members for making the event a big success.
In life, games teach us the importance of discipline and sportsmanship. It also contributes to the growth of our character and an optimistic viewpoint. The syllabus of Dewan VS Institute of Management (DVSIM)- PGDM Institute has been designed in such a way that academics and games can be balanced for the development of the students' personalities. strengthening their motor planning and coordination abilities. Debates are an inevitable part of a student's life. It helps individuals practise their interpersonal skills while also providing an engaging avenue for them to communicate their knowledge, articulation, diction, and overall expressiveness. As a result, our PGDM Department hosted a Debate Competition to help students improve their discursive skills. Dr. Ankur Goel and Dr. Rajeev Kaushik spoke to the students and judged them on their motivational ideas. Dr. Shuchi Sharma stressed the necessity of students participating in such activities for their professional development.
