We are delighted to bring to you a 5-day entrepreneurship training for PGDM students at IIT Madras, planned by DVSGI E-cell Swavyalamban’s The Investors Lounge.
The students had the great chance to learn from corporate honchos such as Mr. Dhiraj Rajaram (founder of Sigma), Mr. Deepit Purkayastha (co-founder of Inshorts News), actress Ms. Shruti Seth, Mr. Tarun Katial (founder of COTO), and many more.
It was a great learning and fun experience in Madras, as the students also got to explore the beautiful city of Madras and its breathtaking Marina Beach.

DVSGI E-Cell coordinated the Quizander 2023 event hosted by E Cell of Manav Rachna University, a national-level quiz to test students' aptitude in business and entrepreneurship.
The three students from the DVSGI Pgdm E Cell—Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, Mr. Anshul Jain, and Mr. Mukul Gupta—emerged among the top 5 in the competition. The competition saw participation from 17 teams from different universities and colleges across the country. Our students' exceptional performance saw them clear all the rounds related to business, brands, and entrepreneurship and secure certificates of participation.
The event was expertly coordinated by the DVSGI E Cell, and it was their initiative that allowed our students to take part and make us proud. We congratulate our students on their success!
A corporate story competition was held for Pgdm students to unfold their skills of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The Pgdm students showcased the journey of various corporates from its inception to multiple business challenges and successes. The students discussed the growth stories of renowned brands like Nykaa, Byjus, Reliance, Tata, and Lakme with practical examples. It was a spectacular show that brought to the fore business insights and strategies. The first position was jointly bagged by Ms. Pallavi and Mr. Sagar, our Pgdm second and first year students. It was indeed a neck-and-neck fight between the contestants. The second position was clinched by Hrithik and Anshul with their keen observation. The third position was grabbed by Dheeraj and Sumit for their out-of-the-box views.
The competition was followed by an intense Q&A round where students defended their perspectives on the brand they had chosen. The session culminated with bouts of knowledge and industry-related trends for everyone.
On March 15, 2023, Dr. Raghavendra Dwivedi conducted a business quiz for the students of the PGDM. The quiz was divided into four sections, including Business & Current GK, identification of products after listing the tagline, recognition of faces of famous CEOs of MNCs, and telling the names of CEOs and presidents of famous MNCs. The main purpose of the quiz was to assess the knowledge of the students about the business world and to motivate them to stay up-to-date for interviews. This exercise was a great opportunity for the students to experience the real business world outside of their studies. The first-year students won the quiz by 1 point. Everyone enjoyed the brain-storming session and had a great time.
Dewan VS Institute of Management (PGDM) hosted a Debate Competition on the themes 'The Pros and Cons of Technology' and 'The Changing Landscape of Education'. The students enthusiastically presented their views on how technology is becoming an addiction and how the new National Education Policy (NEP) is revolutionizing the traditional education system. The participants were evaluated based on content, conviction, and body language. Hrithik, Pallavi, and Gaurav emerged victorious in the competition.
Dr Shuchi Sharma motivated the participants to make the most of the opportunity and learn from their experiences. Dr Raghvendra Dwivedi encouraged the students to embrace practical learning and apply their knowledge in real-world situations.
On December 21, 2022, DVSIM-PGDM organised an industrial visit to Yakult under the supervision of Dr. Shuchi Sharma, PGDM Head of Department.
Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture (JV) between global probiotic leaders Yakult Honsha in Japan and Groupe Danone in France. The company was founded in 2005 to manufacture and distribute probiotic products in India.
Yakult is manufactured at an ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and HACCP-certified factory in Sonepat, Haryana, in north India.
Through years of research, the benefits of Yakult have been scientifically established, and more than 40 million bottles of Yakult are consumed daily in 40 countries and regions.
The visit to the Sonepat plant was a great real-world learning experience for PGDM students. They were able to look into the Japanese and Indian management systems in minute detail. Additionally, observed and analysed the application of management concepts from a business standpoint.
Today, November 14, 2022, DVSIM hosted an orientation program for PGDM first-year students titled "Aagman the Spark 2.0" with the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Mr. Saurabh Agarwal, Managing Partner of Northaxis and Coretrack Sports with an international career spanning Dubai, was the session's industry speaker. He talked about the management lessons he learned from his inspirational career journey.
From the speaker's practical experiences, the students learned about numerous management skills and qualities like critical thinking, self-conviction, and brainstorming, which are vital in the modern corporate environment.
The program coordinator for the PGDM, Dr. Shuchi Sharma, commended the students for enrolling in the distinguished management program at the Dewan VS Group of Institutions. Mr. Vivek Kwatra, Coordinator of the DVSGI E Cell, discussed the PGDM program's highlights, training and placement opportunities, and the impact of the start-up culture on modern business. Dr. Raghavendra Dwivedi presented a vote of gratitude to all the attendees, faculty, students, and staff for their perfect coordination of the event. The day concluded with scrumptious snacks and enjoyable memories for all.
In the career of a student obtaining a professional degree, a visit to an industry has its own value. The purpose of the industrial visit is to expose students to the inner workings of businesses. DVSIM-PGDM organised an Industrial Visit to Dewan Tyres.
Students learnt about how a tyre is procured, processed and given a final shape. The students had an ace time interacting with the senior managers and the shop floor workers about their roles in the factory. They also visited a plant where tubes are manufactured and got to know about the consumption and further projections for the tyre industry.
It was a learning experience with some interesting facts about tyres for the PGDM students. The PGDM course at Dewan Institute enables you to become an industry-ready leader.
Congratulations to our DVSGI PGDM Students who did the commendable job in organising the MMA- AIMA Debate in collaboration with Dayal Fertilizers. The students ensured flawless stage management, facility management, back-end support, and corporate guest registration. They extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, the Jury and other dignitaries, which was greatly appreciated by all. Dewan VS Group of Institutions- PGDM students expertly managed the 34th Annual MMA Convention affiliated to AIMA on 26th March 2022 by handling end-to-end corporate cum student registrations, stage management, facilities management, and other critical responsibilities. It was a great opportunity for the students to gain real-world managerial experience while working on such a prominent event and great moment to share the stage with the Chief Guest Justice B Amit Sthalekar who shared his insights on the Wellness Mindset. he stressed the importance of modest activities like gardening, cooking, and creating hobbies in self-care. Dr. S K Tyagi, a senior gastroenterologist, talked about how expressing affection to your family, such as hugging your parents, can help you stay connected despite modern-day disorders like anxiety and depression. Dr Balgopal Keeran, Success Coach & Hypnotherapist, discussed successful people's routines and vision board techniques. Mr Saurabh Arora joined from London and shared about how creativity helps and can keep our minds agile. Mr. Aseem Garg, CEO of DCDC, shared techniques for bridging the gap between professional achievement and personal fulfilment. The sessions were engaging and interactive where PGDM students learnt the managerial skills of planning, coordination, delegation, art of prioritisation and decision making from the corporate leaders.
DVSGI PGDM organised and celebrated AAGAMA - The Spark, Orientation and Post Diwali event, 2021 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Col. (Dr.) Naresh Goyal - ED, DVSGI and Ms Shruti Arora - President CEE. Dr Shuchi Sharma welcomed the students to the campus. Col. (Dr) Naresh Goyal shared the skillsets required for management students in the 21st century. Ms Shruti Arora shared about E Cell and it's overview with the students so that they are competent to earn new business roles in the corporate world. Mr Vivek Kwatra took a motivational session and inspired students to excel in interpersonal skills through team building activities. In life, games teach us the importance of discipline and sportsmanship. It also contributes to the growth of our character and an optimistic viewpoint. The syllabus of Dewan VS Institute of Management (DVSIM)- PGDM Institute has been designed in such a way that academics and games can be balanced for the development of the students' personalities. strengthening their motor planning and coordination abilities. Debates are an inevitable part of a student's life. It helps individuals practise their interpersonal skills while also providing an engaging avenue for them to communicate their knowledge, articulation, diction, and overall expressiveness. As a result, our PGDM Department hosted a Debate Competition to help students improve their discursive skills. Dr. Ankur Goel and Dr. Rajeev Kaushik spoke to the students and judged them on their motivational ideas. Dr. Shuchi Sharma stressed the necessity of students participating in such activities for their professional development.
